Taiwan FDA announcement: The amendment of 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid content regulation in cosmetics products |

The amendment of　The Standard of Cosmetics Containing Medical or Toxic Pharmaceuticals indicates that 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid will no longer be regulated under the category of cosmeceuticals. As of today, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid is now regulated under the category of general cosmetics. This ingredient does not need to undergo the inspections for cosmeceuticals.
